Here’s a bit about me to help you decide if we are a good fit to work together on your concerns. I am a warm, caring, and dedicated clinical counsellor with an online practice to help you through your challenging moments. I provide a respectful, non-judgmental, compassionate space to explore challenging emotions and create lasting change. My practice of meditation led me to Buddhism and together they have informed my professional counselling and psychotherapeutic practice.
I hold MA in Clinical Counselling, MDiv, non-denominational, and MA Buddhist Studies. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor designated through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and (RCC) Registered Clinical Counsellor designation with (BCACC), British Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Qualified in MiCBT, MBSR, Adv Dip Budd. Psych., Adv Dip Holistic Counselling. I have extensive experience working with individuals with mental health challenges including addictions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and stress. My professional practice is multi-cultural, a reflection of the parts of the world in which I’ve lived. Work experience has included both the private and the NGO sectors, with refugees suffering trauma and other diverse population of families.
I work collaboratively with my clients to overcome barriers to growth and have an eclectic approach grounded in contemplative traditions of the Eastern philosophies and Western psychology. This approach holds acceptance at its core and is present moment centered. I believe that as we recognize our wholeness we experience the richness and the vastness of who we truly are. If you want help and guidance feeling connected to yourself and more grounded please reach out and contact me.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
